NUIT DIFFICILE SUR LA CIC NORMANDY CHANNEL – LA FLOTTE EN APPROCHE DU FASTNET<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

\u00c0 l\u2019issue d\u2019un long bord, la t\u00eate de flotte est en approche du mythique phare irlandais du Fastnet. Si le Class40 Esprit Large (209) men\u00e9 par Corentin Douguet et Axel Tr\u00e9hin est toujours leader, son matelas d\u2019avance a diminu\u00e9 de moiti\u00e9 pendant la nuit, passant de presque 20 milles nautiques au passage de la cardinale Chauss\u00e9e de Sein \u00e0 10 milles nautiques ce matin. Les Class40 Sogestran \u2013 Seafrigo (197) et Legallais (199) accentuent la pression avant d\u2019attaquer la navigation retour vers Guernesey puis Ouistreham. En queue de flotte, le Class40 Ose Ta Victoire (100) des fr\u00e8res Lurton ne l\u00e2che rien. Vers 3h du matin cette nuit, il a enroul\u00e9 la marque obligatoire de Wolf Rock au large de Land\u2019s End et entam\u00e9 sa navigation vers la pointe Bretonne pour passer la nouvelle marque obligatoire du parcours, la cardinale de Chauss\u00e9e de Sein. De son c\u00f4t\u00e9, l’\u00e9quipage du Class40 Bleu Blanc Plan\u00e8te Location (205), Quentin Le Nabour et Thierry Chabagny, en arr\u00eat technique \u00e0 Roscoff suite \u00e0 une rupture de rotule haute du safran b\u00e2bord, a repris la course ce matin \u00e0 6h30. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Un fait majeur est survenu dans la nuit. \u00c0 1h50 heure fran\u00e7aise, la direction de course de la CIC Normandy Channel Race a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9venue par le CROSS Corsen d’un accident survenu au large de Brest et impliquant le Class40 NST Cabinet Z (191) de Thomas Jourdren et C\u00e9dric de Kervenoa\u00ebl. Les secours ont \u00e9t\u00e9 imm\u00e9diatement mis en \u0153uvre par le CROSS Corsen avec l’appui de l’\u00e9quipage du Class40 #EMPOWHER (178) de Pamela Lee et Jay Thompson qui \u00e9tait \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 des lieux de l\u2019accident. Les deux skippers de NST Cabinet Z ont \u00e9t\u00e9 h\u00e9litreuill\u00e9s par la Marine Nationale et transf\u00e9r\u00e9s pour examen \u00e0 un h\u00f4pital sur Brest. Le Class40 #EMPOWHER qui dans l\u2019op\u00e9ration de secours avait mis \u00e0 l\u2019eau son radeau de sauvetage n\u2019a pu le r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer et rallie Lorient.<\/p>\n

\u00c0 noter \u00e9galement que le Class40 Trimcontrol (190) d\u2019Alexandre Le Gallais et Michel Desjoyeaux a contact\u00e9 la direction de course pour annoncer son abandon suite \u00e0 la casse d\u2019un syst\u00e8me de safran survenue dans la nuit, vers 3h. La pi\u00e8ce endommag\u00e9e n\u2019est plus op\u00e9rationnelle et l\u2019\u00e9quipage ne dispose pas \u00e0 bord des \u00e9l\u00e9ments n\u00e9cessaires pour effectuer une r\u00e9paration s\u00e9rieuse. \u00ab\u00a0L\u2019incident concerne un safran d\u00e9j\u00e0 relev\u00e9 avant-hier, suite \u00e0 un choc ou une charge. Malheureusement, c\u2019est ce m\u00eame safran qui a r\u00e9cidiv\u00e9 cette nuit : cette fois, quand le safran a recul\u00e9 et est sorti de son logement, une des retenues lat\u00e9rales a cass\u00e9. La pi\u00e8ce en aluminium qui capte la rotule du haut du safran s\u2019est ouverte en deux, et la barre de liaison est tordue. On avait encore beaucoup de route sur ce bord-l\u00e0\u2026\u00a0\u00bb<\/em> pr\u00e9cise l\u2019\u00e9quipage. L\u2019\u00e9quipage va bien et fait route vers Port-La-For\u00eat.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
