Les 10 premiers Class40 ont quant \u00e0 eux d\u00e9j\u00e0 enroul\u00e9 le r\u00e9put\u00e9 phare irlandais du Fastnet. C\u2019est l\u2019\u00e9quipage d\u2019Esprit Large (209) qui atteint la marque la plus nord du parcours en t\u00eate \u00e0 10h58 en fin de matin\u00e9e. Corentin Douguet et Axel Tr\u00e9hin sont ainsi les premiers \u00e0 attaquer la descente vers l\u2019archipel des Scilly et lancer ce chass\u00e9-crois\u00e9 g\u00e9ant avec les bateaux encore en ascension. Les leaders sont talonn\u00e9s de pr\u00e8s par Sogestran \u2013 Seafrigo (197) et Legallais (199) respectivement \u00e0 11 et 15 milles nautiques derri\u00e8re. Apr\u00e8s la nuit difficile v\u00e9cue sur la course suite \u00e0 la collision du Class40 NST Cabinet Z (191) et l\u2019h\u00e9litreuillage de son \u00e9quipage, et l\u2019abandon de Trimcontrol (190), un nouvel abandon est \u00e0 d\u00e9plorer aujourd\u2019hui, celui d\u2019Ose ta victoire (100). <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Les concurrents de la 16<sup>\u00e8me<\/sup> CIC Normandy Channel Race savourent la m\u00e9t\u00e9o plus cl\u00e9mente de ces derni\u00e8res heures. C\u2019est le cas de Maxime Bourcier, skipper de Free Dom joint \u00e0 la vacation du jour\u00a0: <em>\u00ab\u00a0\u00c7a fait du bien d\u2019avoir une journ\u00e9e avec du soleil avant d\u2019attaquer le prochain petit front qui nous attend au Fastnet \u00bb.<\/em> Les Class40 souffrent et les avaries sont nombreuses \u00e0 bord. Les \u00e9quipages profitent de ce passage plus calme pour panser les plaies\u00a0et recharger les batteries : <em>\u00ab\u00a0\u00c7a ne fait pas de mal apr\u00e8s la petite guerre d\u2019hier. On se repose, on mange, on fait s\u00e9cher, on r\u00e8gle le bateau, on r\u00e9pare&#8230;\u00a0\u00bb<\/em> raconte le marin r\u00e9unionnais. M\u00eame punition chez les leaders comme l\u2019explique Corentin Douguet : <em>\u00ab\u00a0On d\u00e9plore des soucis techniques, mais je pense que c\u2019est le lot de tout le monde. \u00c7a fait partie du jeu\u00a0\u00bb. <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Retour en Manche rapide et fin de course ind\u00e9cise <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Les leaders sont d\u00e9sormais tourn\u00e9s sur la descente rapide vers l\u2019archipel des Scilly et le retour en Manche. <em>\u00ab\u00a0On attaque le dernier sprint. On a mis 3 jours \u00e0 aller jusqu\u2019au Fastnet et on va mettre tout juste 36h \u00e0 revenir \u00e0 Caen \u00bb <\/em>analyse le skipper du Class40 Esprit Large (209). \u00a0M\u00eame si pour l\u2019instant les duos sont focus sur les r\u00e9glages du bateau dans ce bord de vitesse au reaching, ils gardent en t\u00eate que rien n\u2019est encore jou\u00e9 et que tout reste encore possible pour la victoire finale. <em>\u00ab\u00a0Le passage \u00e0 Guernesey, le raz Blanchard, le contournement du Cotentin, \u00e7a va forc\u00e9ment \u00eatre complexe. Par exp\u00e9rience on sait que \u00e7a ne se fait jamais de fa\u00e7on fluide, donc on s\u2019attend \u00e0 des rebondissements \u00bb <\/em>conclut Corentin Douguet. Surtout que derri\u00e8re lui, ce sont deux \u00e9quipages normands, particuli\u00e8rement tenaces et habitu\u00e9s de la navigation dans ces terrains de jeu complexes qui se pr\u00e9sentent. Sogestran \u2013 Seafrigo (197) et Legallais (199) risquent de ne rien l\u00e2cher jusqu\u2019au dernier mille de course. Un d\u00e9nouement \u00e0 cette \u00e9dition d\u2019ores et d\u00e9j\u00e0 historique est attendu demain, jeudi 29 mai, en fin de journ\u00e9e \/ d\u00e9but de nuit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00c0 noter que deux nouveaux abandons sont \u00e0 d\u00e9plorer dans les rangs de la CIC Normandy Channel Race aujourd\u2019hui. Tout d\u2019abord #EMPOWHER (178), qui apr\u00e8s avoir largu\u00e9 son radeau de sauvetage \u00e0 l\u2019occasion de l\u2019op\u00e9ration d\u2019h\u00e9litreuillage de l\u2019\u00e9quipage du Class40 NST Cabinet Z, n\u2019a pu le r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer et a \u00e9t\u00e9 contraint d\u2019abandonner et rallier Lorient.
