At 11:00 this morning, the Class40 Visit Valle d’Aosta informed the Race Management of the breakage of the lock of her staysail. The mast is still standing. The crew is fine but they are forced to abandon the CIC Normandy Channel Race, and are making their way to Brest. Roger Junet and Estelle Greck sailed a very fine race on an old-generation Class40.
