Race Direction has just informed competitors that they will not have to round Guernsey, which is normally a mark of the course. Competitors will be able to freely choose the route best suited to their boats between the Fastnet and Ouistreham in light of the strong wind and wave conditions forecast for the English Channel in the coming days.
