We’re in the home stretch before the end of this race.

We’re torn between the urge to reach the finish line – as we’re starting to feel tired and are dreaming of a nice hot shower and a good meal – and the realisation that it’s all almost over… Since Zeiss lost her mast, we’ve been on our own; the intensity has dropped considerably. We were a bit too slow to change spinnakers last night, and the strong current is throwing our electronic data off quite a bit. We’re hoping to make up some of our lost ground; we’re going to give it our all on this final close-hauled run, where the wind is set to freshen up, in the hope of arriving by the end of the day.
