Centrakor – Hirsch : Mikaël Mergui et Benoit Hantzperg
Hello everyone,
All’s well aboard Class40 183.
It’s been a tough evening and night; we didn’t handle the gybes off the English coast very well – though the scenery was lovely, by the way – and to top it off, a fishing net got tangled round the keel at Lizard Point… In short, we’re a bit disappointed to be at the back of the leading pack after such a great start to the race.
We’ve rounded Wolf Rock and we’re off for a full-throttle run down the red run, but the track isn’t groomed.
It’s banging, bouncing and diving with loads of water on the water.
Ben loves it – it reminds him of the Globe 40!!!
I prefer it when it’s a bit tidier; I’m more of a light spring snow sort of guy.
We’ll soon be rounding Portsall for the second run, which looks set to be technical and windy!
